Things about having a baby no one really tells you

Now that I'm 6 months post-partum I laugh at the tremendous amount of time that is spent preparing for labor.  Yes, it was a little intense, the most intense day of my life. But then it's over.  What comes after you have brought that beautiful life into this world is the real challenge.

This is not meant to scare you, it's meant to be honest.  Everything is strictly my opinion based off my own experiences. Yours will be different.

Let's get moving!

I am not a very athletic person.  I played sports in high school (screwed up my knee) and have actively avoided any sort of extreme physical exertion since.  I'll walk around and I won't shun difficult hills or distances, I'm not a lazy slouch, I've just never been one to "work out".  Last year for our anniversary the hubs got us both fitbits to track our steps.  This all started while we were in Japan and our days would be miles and miles of walking up hills and stairs and all over creation.

I gave up

After just over 4 weeks of trying the "No Poo" shampoo thing I gave up and used regular shampoo again.  My hair never felt clean, it was always kind of straw-like and I swear I could still feel the baking soda in it regardless of how long I rinsed it out.  I could never run my fingers through it and I was tired of not being able to put it in a ponytail during the day without a hairbrush handy.
